Opgelet Al Lago, restaurant en hotel De chef, Stefan Crites, verruilde zijn geboortedorp Columbus (Ohio) in 1992 voor New York waar hij zijn fijne kookkunsten gedurende 13 jaar heeft kunnen ontwikkelen. Samen met echtgenote Mona vershuisde hij in 2004 naar het zuiden van Spanje, welk avontuur zou leiden tot het openen van Al lago. Ooit was Al lago een typisch spaanse "venta" (een bistro/barretje langs de weg) waar men terecht kon voor een "broodje en balletje gehakt". Nu een levendig restaurant en hotel waar dagelijks wisselende specialiteiten worden bereid met verse lokale ingrediënten. Kortom, de Andalusische keuken in een modern jasje. |
